Szczepienia tracą zaufanie

INFO: Europejczycy są wyjątkowo sceptyczni wobec zasadności i bezpieczeństwa szczepień – wynika z badania przeprowadzonego przez organizację pozarządową Wellcome Trust.

Najwyższy brak zaufania jest we Francji, gdzie aż 1/3 ankietowanych twierdzi, że szczepienia nie są bezpieczne, a 19% sądzi, że są nieskuteczne. W Europie wschodniej tylko 50% ludzi uważa, że szczepionki są bezpieczne, a w zachodniej 59%. Dla porównania w Ameryce Północnej i Płd. co do bezpieczeństwa szczepionek jest przekonanych ponad 70% ankietowanych.

Wellcome Trust zaznacza, że sceptycyzm wobec szczepień spowodował, że w latach 2016-17 odnotowano 30% wzrost zachorowań na choroby, które wcześniej zostały niemal zlikwidowane właśnie przez szczepionki.
